Thanks to a last-minute goal by substitute Sven Schipplock, Arminia Bielefeld and Oscar Linner took three essential points away to Holstein Kiel and made another step closer to the promotion.
The Bundesliga 2 leaders were dominant in the first half and deserved a lead through Clauss goal, but after the restart things completely changed and Kiel was the one to control the match. Alexander Muehling scored the equaliser after just six minutes of the second half, and it looked like Arminia was heading another draw. Sending Schipplock on turned out to be the decisive moment. It was the fourth minute of the stoppage time when 31-year old forward scored his first goal of the season and the first one since he arrived at Arminia back in 2018.
