Weekend round up

Angus Gunn Sroke City

Angus Gunn returned to the Stoke City first team for the first time since November, and he immediately made an impact. Ten-men Potters captured one point at Huddersfield Town’s John Smith’s Stadium. Angus’ second-half save from Juninho Bacuna’s effort proved crucial in securing a point.

Poor form continued for AFC Bournemouth when the Cherries visited Reading this week. The hosts scored three goals in the span of 20 minutes, leaving Asmir Begovic and his teammates in a difficult position after three losses in a row.

This was a difficult week for Ryan Allsop and Wycombe Wanderers as well. They are on the bottom of the league with 15 points – with three games in hand – and loss to Brentford was everything but easy. After a solid first half which ended with their second equaliser, Wycombe conceded five in the second half and lost 7-2.

In League One George Long and Hull City continued a great form. They defeated Swindon Town at home (1-0) to keep the league table’s top.

James Belshaw was excellent in his Harrogate Town with over Newport County (2-1) in League Two.
